Josh RowlandArchitect
BA (Hons), MArch, ARB
Josh joined the Randell Design Group team upon completion of his Master of Architecture (MArch) at the University of Portsmouth in 2021. It was during his time at university in which he found his passion for the narratives within architecture, often establishing thought provoking theoretical design briefs aimed at challenging our understanding of the world we inhabit. A true believer of inclusive design, Josh has continually explored the relationship between architecture and Autism, producing two academic papers aimed at improving tuition spaces for children with the neurodevelopment disorder. For his paper titled ‘Breaking the Stigma’, Josh was awarded the Hays Prize for Best Critical Writing in Architecture. Josh began his professional career in 2016, during his first year at university. Here, he gained experience in multiple disciplines including, bespoke residential, commercial, heritage buildings and urban masterplanning. Outside of architecture, Josh enjoys playing hockey and taking walks along the coast.
