Mimi HopkinsArchitectural Assistant
BArch (Hons)
Mimi joined the Randell Design Group team upon completion of her Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Portsmouth in 2022. During this journey she realised her passion in designing for health and wellbeing and employs a holistic approach to her design process. With a keen interest for innovative timber design, she based her thesis, A Tall-Timber World, on the use of wood as the primary material for modern-day ‘skyscrapers’, combining her personal ethos of healthy space with the importance for sustainable technologies in an increasingly densifying society. Additionally, her schemes within university explored the use of mass timber-framing and the atmospheric value it can bring. Mimi was previously in practice alongside her studies, where she predominantly worked on niche residential projects, and has added experience as a composite technician. In her spare time, Mimi enjoys days out exploring the south of England and anything foodie related.
