Coastal Interior Renovation Sussex

This family loves to entertain, enjoy life on the water and to make the most of the surrounding countryside. Their second home is a retreat and a place for ‘time off from technology’. Using a calm design scheme, natural materials, and soft lighting throughout we have achieved a home where the family can relax and unwind. Our brief was to ensure this whole home interior renovation was completed from design brief to handing over the keys within four months. With close collaboration with our construction partner, LGM Developments, we achieved the design, met the deadline, and our client was delighted. The home’s vibe is one of pared-back simplicity and high-quality craftsmanship. With the use of bespoke joinery and carefully selected furniture, we created bedrooms that reflect the family’s own sense of style, especially for the children who are of different ages and have different interests.

The home not only feels fresh and inviting but is also very much a ‘Hamptons’ home by the sea in West Sussex. Our interiors team chose furniture with clean, modern silhouettes that evoke a sense of modern luxury. With accents of natural timber, the tone throughout is relaxed and in harmony with the home’s location a stone’s throw away from the sea at Chichester Harbour. There is a sense of drama and fun in the snug with a huge new cinematic sofa from Arlo & Jacob and a commercial popcorn machine. The new kitchen stools flew in from California and the girls’ rooms feature a whimsical hanging chair and surfboard, reflecting their individual personalities. We were thrilled to complete this large-scale home interior renovation just in time for to dress the house beautifully both inside and out for Christmas with the help of the brilliant Albert & Arthur.
