Renovation and extension to a country home near the West Sussex coast
The dream
A stylish farmhouse update to create a relaxing home for a grown-up family and amazing spaces for entertaining.
The details
We love the mix of sophisticated but refined materials with antique and vintage finds. The chef’s kitchen with indoor braai is spectacular!
Designed for living the best life
A dream project working with clients with excellent vision and taste to modify an old farmhouse to create a sanctuary for family life and a space for entertaining large groups of friends. The result is a creative and exciting design juxtaposition between the existing farmhouse with contemporary additions and renovations. Views and natural light were paramount in the brief for all spaces.
We opened up a dark two-storey space into vaulted open plan living, dining and kitchen with exposed beams and flintwork. The area features a very cool indoor braai for open fire cooking and a dining space for up to 20 guests. The interiors were also reconfigured to allow for a home office, guest suite, wine storage and boot room. There was attention to detail in every aspect of the design process resulting in a beautiful light-filled warm and inviting home with a real wow factor!

“We have worked with Randell Design on two home renovation projects and have been extremely impressed with the outcome on both. They responded with creativity, imagination and an understanding of space, function and light.”
