Pool house, gardens and renovation to a coastal holiday retreat in Sussex
The dream
To design a pool house, garden and pool to create a space for entertaining and retreats.
The details
We love the interior and exterior spaces for entertaining, dining, exercising and relaxing. The garden design is just perfect.
Designed for family and guests to make the most of their time together.
This coast Sussex pool house and renovation followed on from an interior renovation of the main house, a newly acquired holiday home. The pool house and gardens were designed as an extended space for both family and guests to stay in comfort, with entertaining spaces inside and out. The pool house design includes living and sleeping spaces, along with changing rooms and a steam shower fit for a spa. The garden features a large outdoor heated pool, sunken hot tub, kitchen, bar and multiple ‘outdoor rooms’ to practice yoga, entertain friends or to simply relax and chat.
This family loves to entertain, enjoy life on the water and to make the most of the surrounding countryside. Their second home is a retreat and a place for ‘time off from technology’. Using a calm design scheme, natural materials, and soft lighting throughout we have achieved a home where the family can relax and unwind. In addition to the pool house and garden, the second phase of this renovation also included a new office and bar along with updates to the foyer and family room. The clients are overjoyed with the results and spend ever weekend and holiday in their Sussex retreat.
“The perfect retreat to get away from it all. The renovations to the main house and the new pool house, pool and gardens exude a sense of peace and calm.”
