Designed for switching off completely – the natural way to live.

Nestled amongst ancient olive trees and overlooking the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean, Binitortuga is a contemporary villa that quietly embodies the ethos of Randell Design Group. Designed as a natural extension of its Menorcan setting, the villa is shaped by the landscape, climate, and a slower, more considered way of living.

At its core, Binitortuga is about living naturally. Architecture and interiors flow seamlessly to the outdoors, encouraging daily life to unfold between indoor spaces, terraces and the surrounding garden. Sustainability is integral to the design, and added features such as solar panels and rainwater harvesting reduce the home’s environmental impact. Eco-conscious interiors favour honest materials and textures – Marés, timber, terracotta and natural stone – creating a palette that feels warm, tactile, and timeless rather than decorative.

The landscape is conceived as a naturally landscaped dry garden, responding to Menorca’s climate and ecology. Indigenous planting, olive trees, and textured groundcover sit lightly within the terrain, requiring minimal water while reinforcing a strong sense of place. The garden becomes both backdrop and living space—designed for barefoot mornings, long lunches, and evenings spent outdoors.

Every element of Binitortuga has been considered to support relaxation and effortless entertaining. Spaces are calm yet generous, refined yet unpretentious, forming a setting that encourages connection with nature, with others, and with a more mindful pace of life. More than a home, the villa creates a lifestyle rooted in simplicity, sustainability, and the quiet luxury of living well.

“Binitortuga isn’t just a house for us – it’s a way of living. From the moment you arrive, everything slows down. The light, the materials, the connection to the landscape all feel completely natural, as if the villa has always belonged here. It’s a place where mornings drift into the garden, afternoons are spent in the shade, and evenings are shared effortlessly with family and friends. It gives us a sense of calm and balance that goes far beyond the walls of the home.”

Menorca – slow living and natural beauty.

Menorca is defined by restraint, authenticity, and an enduring relationship with nature. Unlike its Balearic neighbours, the island has resisted overdevelopment, preserving a landscape of dry-stone walls, pine forests, agricultural land, and unspoilt coves. This protected character creates a rare sense of calm and continuity, where architecture is expected to respond sensitively to its setting rather than dominate it.

What makes Menorca truly distinctive is its UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status, which shapes both planning and lifestyle. Development is carefully controlled, encouraging buildings that sit low in the landscape, use natural materials, and respect traditional proportions.

The island’s architecture is rooted in simplicity – clean and simple forms, the use of limestone, shaded terraces, deep reveals, and a strong connection between inside and outside—qualities that align naturally with contemporary design.

For us, designing a contemporary villa in Menorca is about translating these values into modern architecture. Light, climate, and landscape become primary design drivers, while clean lines and refined detailing are balanced by warmth, texture, and craft. The result is architecture that feels timeless rather than trend-led: modern yet grounded, calm yet expressive, and deeply connected to the unique spirit of the island.
