We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for this year’s Barkitecture competition at Goodwoof, judged by Kevin McCloud MBE. We’re busy designing our extraordinary kennel to reflect this year’s theme “From Nature; For Nature”. The 2025 theme celebrates three things: the unique connection dogs have with the natural environment we share with them; how, through their personalities, they interpret their experiences of that environment; and, in turn, the appreciation and love for the natural world that they can instil in us.

We at Randell Design Group, are all about collaboration in every project we undertake and truly believe that by working together we can achieve the best results. Together with the talented teams at University of Portsmouth: School of Architecture, Art & Design, Eldon 3D Workshops and Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, along with our amazing contractor partner, New Square Property, we are creating a kennel for our nature loving office pups, Milo and Millie. Milo, a handsome Cockapoo, who loves sniffing and digging, and Millie, a gorgeous Australian Labradoodle, whose favourite pastime is running on the beach and getting muddy, have been working hard to test out our kennel concept.

Join us across the weekend on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May to view our kennel entry, The Burrow, (and maybe catch a glimpse of M&M too!) Visit Goodwoof on Sunday to place a bid on one of the shortlisted kennels in the Bonhams Barkitecture Auction – all in aid of Wild at Heart Foundation – Goodwoof’s charity partner for 2025.

Special thanks to Millie, Milo, Nicki, Katie, Laura and Jo

“After a day of reviewing all the amazing concepts with Kevin McCloud, we are delighted to let you know that your kennel design submission for ‘From Nature. For Nature’, has made it through to the shortlist.”
